Often it helps to take stock and consider what we actually contribute to our teams and to our organisation. Usually we only pay lip service to this when preparing for interview or for a job change. Research suggests that we can do this at any stage of our career, and update our memories on a regular basis. Being coached or mentored are valuable ways of being reminded what makes us tick. This session will provoke us to consider a range of questions and experiences so we can realise who we are, our motivations and enjoyments, our strengths and weaknesses, our achievements and our levels of confidence. This self-assessment model is the first step to emotional intelligence. The intention is to take note of the valuable uniqueness that we bring to every situation daily. Those attending will be encouraged to take part, and share where they feel comfortable.
During this session:
• We will remind ourselves of our roles and responsibilities
• We will take note of our competences
• We will consider our motivations, enjoyments, strengths and achievements
• We will consider what tools and actions we might take to regularly self audit
• We will consider the support available to us as we hope to progress as an individual
