Specialist Mental Health Interventions
Overview
Sometimes organisations require more tailored and targeted mental health solutions – and this can be on a reactive or proactive basis.
For example, if an organisation is faced with an unexpected traumatic event and is concerned about the impact on staff (either immediately or in the aftermath) they may want to consider deploying an evidence-based approach such as Critical Incident Stress Management. CISM is a structured programme featuring a range of interventions designed to help individuals and groups process and recover from being involved in a traumatic incident.
Alternatively, if there are teams, professional groups, or specific job roles within the organisation where people are continually having to deal with complex cases, or routinely exposed to trauma (direct or indirect), management may want to consider putting in place Group Therapeutic Support/Supervision or Group Reflective Practice, or Lena’s Psychological Support Programme, as a means of preventing or mitigating harm and longer-term impact.
