Working in a fast-paced environment with constant pressure, new initiatives and evolving technology forces us all to take stock of where we are and how we manage our work and our personal lifestyles. The tragedy is that so many do not learn coping strategies and succumb to pressure at work. This session is intended to give you time and space to consider and apply new tips and techniques that will make us more effective and realistic in our responses to ongoing pressures. The only person who can make changes to our lifestyle is ourself. It is therefore essential that we learn to be calm and pull back those activities that can cause us anxiety and burnout. A new series of personal actions can be drawn up that will help steer us to continued success and contentment.
During this session, we will:
• identify our obligations and commitments personally and professionally
• understand the effects of burnout for individuals and for organisations
• take stock of how we manage our time and pressures
• learn how best to react and respond to situations that cause us anxiety
• recognise tips and techniques to keep us grounded in the real frenetic world
• take note of the support available as we adjust our behaviours
• draw up a personal practical action plan
